Weird celebrity experiences
I took my wife to see a musical in the West End last week. I collected my tickets from the box office and then made my our way to our seats in the stalls. I knew my tickets were good and was in the third row. Anyway got to our seats only to find an elderly couple seating in them and they were very apologetic and posh and they should have been two rows back. It was only then that I realised I was kicking the Duke of Kent out of my seat! I told the wife and she confirmed I wasn't wrong. We also had Cherie 'Fucking' Blair seating behind us. Very weird and couldn't stop laughing.

Sat next to Karen Keating west ham v villa 1988 (she was opening some junior hammers room in east stand)

Told several of the girls from hollyoaks to get out of my way at an airport.(I was polite at first and asked nicely 3 times but they were up their own arses and rude so I replied in kind)

I recognised him straight away and asked if he'd like to go before us. he smiled, thanked me and off he went. no requests for selfies, photos or autographs :.)

Been in a lift with Evander Holyfield and MC Hammer. Think Don King might have been in there too. That was a bit surreal.

If you're in a lift with Don King, surely you know about it?

Had dealings with quite a few. Sir Michael Parkinson, and his bloody mad wife Mary. Non stop complainers. His Daughter in law the actress Fiona Allen, (Manic Depression). Just plain Loopy!! Both live in Bray, Nr Maidenhead. There neighbours were the Harris!! Rolf, and his strange wife (Alwyn). Weird area. Also had dealings with Chris Tarrant. Another miserable wanker. He was living in a flat I was building next too, as his Mrs had thrown him out there house!!! Always had to say some minor moan. Oh and Hal Robson Kanu. Nice bloke, but could not afford the house he was looking at!!! Out his price range!!

Apparently met Rian Johnson at something around the TIFF in 2012.

Should have injured him for his Star Wars contribution then.

Working for a Gov't department, had the honour of picking up Sir Trevor Brooking from reception for a meeting with my then boss; got his autograph afterwards (was long before the days of selfies).

Queuing up at bar at the Cropredy festival and ended up chatting to John Otway (who just played his set) and Roy Wood (who was playing the next day) about music. Found out all three of us have a soft spot for Hawkwind and Roy Wood likes Gong.
Chatting with Robbie Williams at a Cardiacs gig (he was pretty drunk).
Shared a couple of joints with Courtney Walsh at a night club in Bristol, absolutely lovely bloke.

A beard bloke from ZZ Top asked me what the soup was.

"Vegetable"

"I'll take it"

Kitchen change the soup and don't tell anyone.

Someone else sticks the soup on the table.

Beardy Texan looks quizzically at me as he is halfway through his soup.

"Is there meat in this?" Err yes.

"It tastes good but I don't want anymore."

He was very cool and relaxed about the whole thing

The weirdest thing about this experience was discovering that a Texan could be vegetarian.

I served that Caron Keating once and she was so far upself I'm surprised she could even find it in herself to share the planet with all the billions of humans she was superior to.

She's dead now so I got the last laugh.

I spent almost an hour trying to chat Joss Stone up backstage at a folk festival but gave up as loads of people stopped to take pics and get autographs .

I asked one of Stevie Wonders backing singers who she was.

"Joss Stone"

"Who"

"Joss Stone , the flake girl"

Gunenuinly thought she was with the caterers .

Re: Weird celebrity experiences
In the late 90s I used to go for Friday after work drinks in The Wilton Arms near Hyde Park Corner. One of my best mates and a fellow Hammer worked at Apsley House Museum just round the corner.
One hot summer afternoon. I was enjoying a read and a beer as I was really early and who came up and sat next to me with her children and female bodyguard, I think, but Andie MacDowell. We had a brief chat and I think she quite fancied me (of course). But she was past her best and had varicose veins.
Also in the same pub it became a haunt of Chris Evans and his entourage. What a bunch of wankers. One night Gazza was in there all pissed up and trying to muscle one of old regulars out of his corner spot. What a tosser. We gave him some verbal but the landlord stepped in before it turned nasty. Soon after they stopped going there. Melinda Messenger was in there a few times. Very petite actually but very nice.

There also the Rio Ferdinand getting bottled in a Stockholm night club in 2006 and me and my mates helping him not getting truly beaten up by the Serbian Mafia there. But I’ve told that story on here before.

1. Recorded world strongman final, presented by James Richardson on New Year's Day as had to work at Bromley game. Low and behold James Richardson sat in the seat behind me. Seemed a very nice chap.

2. Gordon Britass held a door open for me whilst on work experience at the BBC.

3. Also whilst on work experience I was sent to sort out some tape archives. Arrived at the office and was told of my duties by Des Lynam. On completion of the work he gave me a MOTD book signed by himself, Ray Stubbs and John Motson who I could hear in the adjoining room.

Re: Weird celebrity experiences
Used to go out with Damon Albarn's cousin at the height of Blur & Oasis era. Met her once in my old clothes shop, we arranged a date and she said shewas on guest list to see Blur and that he was her cousin.
Didn't believe her, but as it turned out it was all true, got in on his guest lecturer St and then went back to their hotel and stayed up all night drinking.
Graham the Cox the self styled "wild one" of the band decided he would try and chat me up as a laugh probably? He was pissed and acting very camp saying to my date "ooooh he's nice" He then tried to bite my ear and I said something like "fuck off" and he then threatened to bottle me. Utter prick! A
Anyway Damon was actually a sound bloke and stayed chatting to us all night. I ended up seeing his cousin for about 6 months after.
